BRIDGEVILLE LIBRARY SCULPTURE SHOW FEATURES 14 REGIONAL ARTISTS

Juried art show brings outdoor and indoor exhibits for public viewing throughout October.

Bridgeville, PA— Starting Oct. 1, the Bridgeville Public Library becomes home to an impressive collection of outdoor and indoor art as part of the First Annual Bridgeville Library Sculpture Exhibition.

The Bridgeville Library Sculpture Show is the result of a partnership of the Pittsburgh Society of Sculptors, Public Art Bridgeville, and the Bridgeville Public Library’s Bill & Grace McDivitt Center for Lifelong Learning.

Throughout October, the library will host a variety of sculptures created by 14 artists from the greater Pittsburgh area. The event kicks off with a reception at the library on Friday, October 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. (However, art will be on display for viewing and photo ops as early as October 1).

Featured artists are: Guy J. Bellaver, Isaac Bower, Dino DeIuliis, Dan Droz, Howard Goldfarb, Sal Greco, Gadi Leshem, Duncan MacDiarmid, Mark McKenzie, Ronald Nigro, Lisa Platt, Amy Short, Sarah Simmons, and Kara Zuzu.

Other parts of the community, including sidewalks and parks, have already become ad hoc art exhibition spaces for a variety of outdoor sculptures which are part of Public Art Bridgeville’s first annual outdoor sculpture exhibition, running through March 1, 2023.

Indoor sculptures can be viewed during normal library hours (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) in October.

The show’s outdoor sculptures are available for viewing during daylight hours. The Bridgeville Public Library is located at 505 McMillen Street, just minutes from I-79.
