PENNDOT has awarded a group paving contract to Mele & Mele for the resurfacing of Bank Street from the corner of Dewey Avenue to Chartiers Street. Crews will be starting today making drainage and utility improvements. The project includes drainage upgrades, utility adjustments, milling, paving, and new pavement markings. The project is expected to last through the end of April, weather permitting, and PENNDOT is coordinating this project with other construction projects going on in our area. Motorists should expect short-term single lane alternating traffic 9AM to 7PM during construction. Bank Street (SR No. 3005) is a state road.
