Sealed Proposals will be received by the Borough of Bridgeville, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania for the following project:

Improvements to McLaughlin Run Park including site excavation, skate park equipment, pavilions, parking lot improvements including new concrete curb, handicapped parking area, bituminous pavement, new flag pole, Type II Corten Guiderail, bumper blocks, signage, landscaping, and restoration. Alternate bids will be accepted for a horseshoe pitch, ADA seating area at ballfield, additional skate park equipment, and new entrance gate.

All proposals must be in the hands of the Borough Manager, Bridgeville Borough, 425 Bower Hill Road, Bridgeville, PA 15017 before 10:00 AM prevailing time on April 10, 2020, and the same will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 AM prevailing time the same day at the Borough Municipal Offices, Council Meeting Room. The contract will possibly be awarded on April 13, 2020, at 7:30 PM.

Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words “McLaughlin Run Park Phase 2 Improvements”. The proper title for the bid is dependent upon the bid that is submitted. All bids must be submitted in separate envelopes with the proper designation.

Bid Documents are being distributed by F. L. Haus Company, 921 Ridge Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. All bidders are required to buy the full set of drawings and specifications for a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 from F. L. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages apply to this project.

Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder’s Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Bridgeville Borough in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract.

If more time is necessary for the ascertainment of the lowest responsible bidder, Bridgeville Borough reserves the right to award the contract at a later date, but not exceeding sixty (60) days from the date bids were submitted.
