Bridgeville, PA:   Bridgeville Borough recently completed extensive repairs to the streambank of Chartiers Creek and a section of roadway that slide within Chariters Park.  The $192,632 project completed by G. Salandro Excavating took one month to complete and included 600 tons of R-7 large stone to stabilize the streambank and restore the section of roadway that was affected by the landslide.

In the spring two other contracts will be released for improvements within Chartiers Park including the construction of a new playground next to Shelter No. 1 and full reconstruction of the Park’s roadways and parking lots.  This paving work will upgrade roadway lighting within the park and install a guardrail along the recently improved section of streambank.  All work is planned to be completed by July 2022.
