CONTRACT NO. 21-R02
WERNER STREET SLOPE STABILIZATION AND RETAINING WALL IMPROVEMENTS
The scope of work includes installation of approximately 235 LF of soldier beam and concrete lagging retaining wall (varying heights, 0 to 14 feet), 600 SY of roadway milling and profiling; 220 SY of 8′′ depth 2A aggregate pavement subbase, 4″ Superpave WMA binder course and 600 SY of 11⁄2″ Superpave WMA wearing course; 55 LF of keyway milling, 350 LF feet of bituminous wedge curb; 350 LF of 6′′ perforated underdrain, 230 LF of Type 31-S strong post guiderail; installation of three Type ‘M’ inlets and one 4′ diameter storm manhole; erosion and sedimentation controls, traffic control; and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction.

Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates apply. Proposals must be upon the forms furnished by the Borough. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of
Bridgeville to guarantee the bidder’s entrance into the contract if given the award.
The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids.
Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania “Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3”; and for Contract value exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply.
