Werner Avenue, between Chartiers Street and James Street, will be closed to local traffic starting tentative February 1st through mid-June to repair multiple landslides along the side of the roadway. The project is being completed by A. Merante Contracting and will include the construction of a steel beam and concrete lagging retaining wall to hold up the roadway, storm sewer installation, new guard rail, and roadway paving when complete.

During working hours, there will be limited access for residents.

With support from State Senator Devlin Robinson, Bridgeville Borough received a $500,000 Gaming Economic Development Tourism Fund grant for this $882,000 project. The remaining project costs are being paid for from the Borough’s federal appropriation of the American Rescue Plan.
