We’re pleased to announce that Bridgeville Borough has been awarded a $305,000 GEDTF state grant, thanks to the support of Senator Devlin Robinson, Representative Anita Kulik, and our other elected partners. This funding will help offset the cost of replacing the Commercial Street culverts, a key component of the Borough’s McLaughlin Run Flood Control Project.

Located where Bower Hill Road meets Commercial Street in the McLaughlin Run watershed, this project will replace an aging double-barrel corrugated metal culvert with a single-span concrete structure. The new culvert will remove a problematic center pier, improve water flow capacity, and eliminate a long-standing choke point in the waterway.

This investment marks another step forward in reducing flood risk and improving infrastructure for our community.
