Thanks to a generous donation from the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club, visitors to Chartiers Park will now be welcomed by a new trailhead sign marking the entrance to the Story Walk Trail. The sign was recently installed by the Bridgeville Public Works Department.

This project builds upon a successful partnership between the Borough of Bridgeville and the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club that originally established the Story Walk along the Chartiers Park Trail. Since its creation, the Story Walk has become a unique and valued feature of the park, providing children and families with an opportunity to combine literacy, imagination, and outdoor recreation. The stories featured along the trail are regularly provided by the Bridgeville Public Library, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience for visitors throughout the year.

The Story Walk encourages families to explore the park while enjoying the playgrounds, walking trails, and many other amenities available at Chartiers Park. The new trailhead sign further enhances this experience by creating a welcoming and easily identifiable entrance to the Story Walk. It will also help draw attention to the attraction from park visitors, including those attending baseball games and other events, who may not have otherwise discovered this special feature.

The Borough of Bridgeville is grateful to the Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary Club for its continued commitment to projects that enrich our community and create meaningful opportunities for residents and visitors to enjoy our parks and public spaces.
